More Friends To Come

I’m surprised to know that fellow wpp forumers Joan Joyce and Marikenya shared me this badge. I’m flattered that you considered me as your friend, THANK YOU. Although my blog is almost 3 months old, being a member of WPP helped me in such a way that I’ve found a place where I belong.

The moment I had the LOVElink page, I make it a point to visit all the members that I know, and comment if possible.  I had my old blogroll removed and highlighted the bloggers that I frequently visits at the LOVElink page. I don’t know if by doing this, I’ve offended you, I’m sorry. I want to know which is better and I’ve found it the way it is now more convenient for me. Looking forward for more friends to come from the WPP family. Cheers!

I want to share this badge to all “highlighted” wpp bloggers from my LOVElink:

Customizing Opera

This is how my opera homepage looks like, haven’t got time to update this for quite sometime. 2 or 3 years ago, I’ve read an article from a mobile co-blogger that Opera homepage can be edited. Of course, I’m intrigued and challenged.

Why do I want my Opera browser customized?

  • I got bored easily with the default homepage.
  • I want colors and graphics.
  • I want my bookmarks included on the html pages.
  • I want it suited to my needs.

I’m using Opera 8.65 now with minimal bookmarks saved. These are new bookmarks that I haven’t included on my html pages yet. My homepage consists of Google search engine, links to 5 more personalized html pages, css and links to some of my mobile accounts. The layout had a transparent image background (just like others did to their friendster accounts), marquees, animated buttons, etc. For the record, I’ve started from scratch since at that time I don’t know any html, css and javascript codes. Some modifications followed as I learned html codes. In fact, some are doing this for their Opera desktop. A little googling around, you’ll find some tutorials on customizing Opera desktop.

Exploring N6300

My cousin who happened to be also my dentist asked me a favor yesterday. I’ve always gave her a helping hand on mobile phones especially if its a symbian phone.

Her new unit now is Nokia 6300, a S40 3G. She get rid of her nokia s60 after getting a virus through mms. I helped her removed the virus but she simply don’t like the idea of mobile viruses. Well, I told her the good news that virus is impossible to her new phone since it is a S40. I didn’t suggested her to buy this unit, but I think she fell in love with its slim feature. I do, my 6630 is too bulky compared to her unit. A FM radio and mp3 player are plus factor to her. I forgot to try the FM Radio. For her, mobile phone is also for entertainment.

All along she always heard me saying “maximize the capability of mobile phone by installing application suited to the user’s needs.” She bought a new 1GB MMC, so, she asked for audio files, themes, games, applications and some eBooks. I made her left her unit to me for 6 hours.

Yup! It took me 6 hours… ripping and converting her favorite 8 CDs to mp3 files, 40 kbit/s… gathering the themes from the net. Its amusing to know that the extension name for 6300 theme is nth. I’m quite new to this kind of format. I’ve converted some eBook java format, gave her some games and application. For the record, I didn’t use PC Suite.

7-Glitch

baby_djthumbnailI’ve been tagged by Pao about my ”seven”. I’ve made this article suited to my blog’s concept as much as possible, the glitch way. I’ve enjoyed making this entry but I have topic limitation here so I’ve decided to post another entry to my other blog, glitchline. I’ll make it more personal. The objective of tagging is to know the person further by making an entry regarding the 7 things that is related to number seven.

So, here are the rules:

  • Mention the person who tagged you and create a link back to them.
  • Pick other bloggers you like to know better.
  • Let them know you’ve tagged them by leaving a comment on their blog.
  • And don’t forget to give them the rules.

7-Glitch:

  1. My cellphone # last number is 7.
  2. My last name consists of 7 charcters. The 7th letter of the alphabet is G, G as in Glitch.
  3. I’ve read the 7 Harry Potter eBooks in repligo format on my phone.
  4. I am practicing regular reformats to my phone, 2-3 times a year. After every reformats, these are the 7 applications I initially installed. My mobile necessities that are not related to eBooks. Setting Wizard, Backup Contacts, FExplorer, Opera 8.65, System Explorer, NaSMS, DivX Player.

To make the ball rolling, I want to tag wpp newbies: lenggai, mcbilly, carmzy I don’t want to be tagged with the same topic so I’ve checked your blogs if you have this entry. Karma. :D
