Blogging

Merry Christmas

Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth … may we begin to see the world in the light of understanding you give us.

As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving. Amen.–Karen L. Oberst (Light Came at Christmas: Services for the Advent Wreath)

Why Moblog?

In the Philippines, moblog or moblogging are provided by the leading mobile network providers such as Globe and Smart Telecoms. There is an estimated of 40 million mobile phone users to date out of estimated population of 80 million Filipinos.

As of this time, there are 41,144 moblogs registered to G-blogs. I doubt if all of them are active in mobile blogging since there are many bloggers stopped updating their blogs, including me and some bloggers I know. Why?

There are many reasons why people blog, there are many kinds of bloggers as well. I blog because it was sort of my daily diary, rambling about anything I observed and experienced from my daily life. It was sort of an outlet from my stressful life. Until I got interested on mobile ebooks. I’ve learned, shared and moblog about mobile ebooks. There were times that I became feature blogger. Traffic! That time, I don’t care about traffic simply because I don’t want to get noticed by moblog hackers. My moblog had been hacked many times by hackers who wanted to be popular. I’ve emailed my network provider, requested not to feature my blog anymore citing my reasons.

After three years of regular moblogging, I woke up one morning feeling tired and exhausted of moblog. What do I get from moblog? Lots of friends and the good feeling that I’ve helped unselfishly. But I’m not contented with my network provider’s services. There are still many rooms for their improvement and I can’t stay waiting for such.

Pinay Scandal, Anyone?

I’m not giving away Pinay Scandal eBook or whatsoever, the topic is kinda off-topic to my blog but I’m doing this to participate to the campaign started by marhgil. It’s disgusting to know that bloggers who hit the top google ranks have these keywords: Pinay Scandal, Pinay Celebrity Scandal, Beautiful Pinays etc. They’re giving us false impression. Its sort of selling their blog at our expense. We can clean the worldwide web by joining the PINAY SCANDAL campaign by exchanging links, the best part is we could gain lots of traffic because of these keywords. Its like hitting two birds with one stone! Removing the Pinay bad image and earn lots of traffic. Who doesn’t want to join? How to do it? Simply make an entry with the keywords Pinay Scandal included in your title. Then, link back to other Pinay Scandal participants.

NOTE: I’ve moved to a new domain. If you received my ping, please edit my link on your list.

I'm Into Technorati Favorite Exchange

I saw DoshDosh‘s article regarding Technorati Favorites Exchange, I am amazed seeing bloggers participate with the experiment.  Although I’m not a newbie in blogging (mobile), blogging now is a lot more different on what I’ve used to know. So, I will go with the flow and participate with the experiment.

Basically, its as simple as you’ll add me up as your technorati favorite and I’ll return the favor by making you my favorite also.  My technorati username is myglitch. Please indicate to your comment your technorati link. For newbies on social bookmarking like me, this would be a big help. DoshDosh also provided list of bloggers who are also offering Technorati Exchanges which I’ve favorited also one by one.

It’s never too late to participate with this great experiment. Good karma! Here’s the list that returned the favor and into the same campaign. Don’t forget to linkback here so I can add you to the list.

Do Follow Link, Does everyone follows?

Since I call myself a newbie here, I’ve been browsing a lot looking for traffic help and saw Courtney’s site. I’m also just wondering if everyone still follows until now considering that Colleen’s entry was April 12, 2007.  So I’ve decided to join the movement and comment reasonably on every blog as much as I could.

This DoFollow Blog list is courtesy of Courtney Tuttle and was created originally by Coleen as the D-List.

I don’t have the Do-Follow plugin like Colleen.  I don’t think the dofollow plugin will worked on wordpress.com since mine is a “free” blog.  As respect to the originals, I’ve included the originals of Colleen and new addition from Courtney’s list.  So here it goes…

1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.

2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.

3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.

4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW is using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going! (Link all the blogs in your post too!)

5. Leave relevant comments on the blogs listed and get a link back to your site thanks to Do Follow!
