Globe PixLink Free Trial
Globe Telecoms has launched a new service which allows Globe postpaid and prepaid subscribers to upload pictures and videos to Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, Blogger, Picasa and G-Blogs using their mobile phones.
Just like Unlichat introductory offer, the service is free until further notice. There are two ways to register, go to Globe Pixlink website or text the word PIXLINK to 2988. Then you can download the application. It was launched in Thursday and still in beta, I haven’t received my mobile application yet. I wonder when can I test it.
The service is possible because of the partnership between Globe Telecoms and US-based mobile software service PixSense. Seeing the quality of pictures shown on their website made me excited to try the service. I guess, its an easier and another way to backup pix and vids stored in our phone temporarily.
UPDATE: I’ve tested it already Sunday morning of March 1. Its not a free trial, the connection fee is free while you register via wap. After registration, when you open the mobile application, you have to choose to subscription option. Php 30/day, Php 60/2days and Php 120/5days to use the service.

hi glitch
I’m from Pixlink and not too worry, the service is still free until further notice.
If you have further questions, you may contact me via my email address.

Esan, I guess, I’ve encountered glitch again in March 1 that’s why its not free. If you’re from Pixlink, I hope you could add some info on how much phone memory available before installing PixLink. I have enough phone memory but since I have lots of videos and images on my memory card, the application consumes a lot more than the application itself. I suppose 6630 is supported but I don’t think my mobilephone will handle the application. I removed it already before I encounter possible problems.
hello glitch,
thank you for your feedback.
Will do our best to work on that.

hi glitch,
We are concerned as to why the application consumes a lot of memory in your mobile phone when all you need to install Pixlink is at least 1 MB of internal memory. Did you uploaded via the web or downloaded the application thru your phone? How much memory did you have before installing Pxlink?
Hi glitch,
How much is the free space of your phone’s internal memory and your phone’s memory card as well? How many videos and photos does your phone have?
Pixlink will eat about 10MB of free space on installation if you have about 500 photos with each photo about 500KB in size (thumbnail generation will eat most of your space). The app will also use about 1MB of free memory space once the app has been initialized.
