A childhood friend who now lives in US emailed me using his new iPhone 3G about how he loves Bible App on his iPhone. Since I already posted before some information about bible mobile applications, I researched for this iPhone application available for free download at the iPhone App Store.
Everybody loves freebies, right? From a certified ebook addict’s perpective, the iPhone Bible App is ok for a free application. It is available in 31 bible translations… in 16 languages. The default version is King james Version.
The only problem I see with the application is that we have to install the iPhone application and yet we cannot use it without internet connection. Without connection, the bible reader is useless. I guess, internet connection in US is not a problem but what if you’re in a vacation, in a beach or anywhere that inet connection is impossible. In the Philippines, searching for a good spot may be a problem and time consuming.
The current version is iPhone Bible App version 1.6. I hope the next upgrade have the added feature of reading the bible offline. Is it possible? Yes, by downloading a selected bible version file. It could consumed a lot of memory but that’s the concept of making the bible handy.

This is nice. I wonder how to have this in my mobile.

Wow, now that’s a really awesome app. It’s like having a digital bible. Is it only available on the iPhone? I’m sure there are similar apps avaialable for smart and symbian phones.
Ruby, you can click on the link on my post to read the article about bible reader on symbian phone, S60 preferably. Cheers.

I’m using firefox if I want to read the bible on the web. I myself don’t like the idea of reading ebooks and bible online. There’s nothing to be sorry. Cheers.
