Twilight Saga eBook, Using Trial Conversion Software

I admit, I am one of those instant fan of Twilight. I finished reading the first 4 ebooks in a week, on my mobile of course. That explained why I didn’t updated my blog regularly (2-3x a week), the other reasons are not appropriate on this blog. Well, I make it a point to read the books first before watching Twilight the movie with my teenagers.

Anyway, when I was reading Breaking Dawn, book 4 of Twilight Saga, I noticed the upper part of the ebook. Please see the image, the text “ABC Amber Text Converter Trial Version” is included on the ebook itself. I’m not using the converter, I’ve downloaded the pdf ebook somewhere (sorry, I forgot where I got it). Take note that I’m using repligo reader on my mobile and converted the file to rgo or repligo.

The way I see it, it seems that the file I downloaded was not originally in pdf format. It maybe in other format and converted to PDF which I converted to repligo. hmnn… if there’s a will, there’s a way, right? I have to mention again that the Twilight Saga ebooks are banned to forums that’s why many ebook users are finding ways to convert ebook depends on their ebook reader.

For me, I don’t like my mobile ebooks have the trial text caption but Twilight Saga ebooks is one of the exemption. :D eBook conversion really helps on this case, we don’t need to be a geek to handle ebook conversion.

Free Mobile eBook Conversion for Christmas

Who needs mobile ebook conversion?

  1. Publishers who doesn’t have time to convert their files to other ebook formats.
  2. Publishers that want to cut down their publishing expenses.
  3. Bloggers or webmasters that offers free ebook download when someone subscribes to their site.
  4. eBook fanatic like me that needs a format depends on the handheld device or mobile they use and ebook reader application installed.

Its obvious that I’m on category #4 years ago. It maybe impossible or hard at that time but I learned a lot. I couldn’t say that I’m already an expert or professional but I doubt if I can call myself an amateur on mobile ebook conversion.

To maintain my blog, I’m planning to offer ebook conversion service on this blog next year. But for now, since its Christmas season, the good news is I will be offering it for free for the whole month of December.

Let me know if I miss something here, feel free to comment on this post. Post will be updated as soon as I installed my “contact me” page.

Why Sell eBooks In Multiple eBook Format

Selling eBook? Why not publishing them in multiple ebook formats?

Few years ago, when I tried buying my first batch of ebooks, the seller offer them in multiple format mostly in PDF and HTML format. Although, I told her that I’ll be using a repligo reader on my mobile phone. I have no choice but to install multiple mobile applications on my phone to read all the ebooks. And that’s how I challenged myself with mobile ebook conversion.

I firmly believed that PDF format is the commonly used eBook format, I mentioned that many times on this blog. Selling eBook in single format is NOT a good marketing strategy. Remember that books have evolve with our technology, same with the new generation of bookworms. There are potential costumers that feel unsatisfied with the available ebook format. Chances are, they will be needing help to convert the file to cater their needs. Time consuming and hassle on costumer’s side. If they are really eager to use them in format they need, they have these options:

  • Look for conversion tool, if its not free, they will purchase it or use a trial version (if available). Additional expenses to costumer.
  • Ask the publisher if they have other ebook format available. Sellers usually placed the available format, some are not.
  • Hire for ebook conversion expert. Again, additional cost to buyer.
  • The worst, drop the idea of ebook conversion and use the ebook reader for purchased ebook format. (Just like what I did on my first batch of ebooks)

See the dilemma? eBookworms could switch back to traditional books instead and hassle free on their part.

If you are the author or the publisher, catering to the needs of your market means additional income and book exposure. But ebook conversion takes time to know and experience. There are sites offering ebook conversion services in reasonable fee (I guess but I see some that for me is not affordable). The bottom line is the quality of the output. This is the reason why some are offering free sample for the first chapters.
Mobile ebook fanatics maybe a small percentage of your buyers but still if publisher didn’t cater to them (including me) could be lost potential income on their part. Always remember that eBookworm community is growing with mobile technology. Don’t be left behind.

Spying Over Burn After Reading

Noticed my Nuffnang ads on this blog? I’m really impressed with how their system works, I’m glad that it worked on my blogs and I’m already earning on compared to other ads I used before. Take note that I removed most of my ads that didn’t work and Nuffnang remain.

The best thing I love with Nuffnang is they have extra activities other than running their ads. How about watching a movie with your co-nuffnangers? I never attended any blog event before, given the chance and get lucky enough this will the first and I think this will be the memorable one.

Haven’t been to Robinson’s Galleria for a decade (just an estimate). Its about time to step my feet there again and watch the premiere of “Burn After Reading” starring my favorites Brad Pitt and George Clooney in this comedy/action movie. I love Nuffnang for organizing an event like this and that makes them different from the rest. hmmn… I wonder why the movie titled “Burn After Reading”… for sure, watching it with fellow co-nuffnangers is a memorable experience for me.
