Entrecard is the popular social network nowadays to most bloggers, there are many reasons why and I don’t think its appropriate to this article. Anyway, I do practice chain dropping to sites I reciprocate. And just like others, I have to stop to a certain point.
When do the entrecard chain dropping stops?
When the blog displayed its own image – This is when I clicked the widget and sent me to the same site. To newbies, the advantage of having two sites is to advertise on the one who doesn’t feature any site on his widget and vise versa.
When the site loads slowly – Time is gold, right? I can drop a few more to other sites than wait to site to load. I don’t want others to think just like me, I make it sure that my site loads in enough time.
When I already dropped on the featured blog – This is different to the first one. Some blogs are “blessed” with many entrecard credits and afford to buy ads to many other sites. Sometimes, I do click it and see the word “thanks” or “1 per day”to the widget.
When the site is unavailable – Its self explanatory, how can you drop to site that have been removed, under maintenance or whatever. They’ve placed their ad when their site was still running.
When there’s no entrecard widget on the site – I hate it when I found some site that bother to place ads on other sites when they didn’t place one on their site. You know what? I did bother to report them to entrecard admin. I found it unfair to those who religiously drop their cards on regular basis. I hope you agree with me on this.
When the widget is hard to find – Call me impatient if you want but if you encountered a site full of images and widgets on the left and right sidebar, you can never tell. Ok, I do wait for a while if I find the site is loading slow especially if the site is the direct dropper to my site. But it is really irritating (forgive me for the word I used) searching for entecard buried in other images.
When you reach the 300 drop limit – LOL!

Holy week is always been a busy week in our country. Aside from soul searching, praying and other religious traditions, this is the time reuniting with family and relatives to some since it is considered as extended weekend. (Non-working holiday on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Black Saturday.)
This is the first holy week that I have a blog, thank God that this is wordpress. Eventhough I have moblog before, its easy to update it since I do carry my mobile phone anywhere I go. Just as expected, mobile eBook’s traffic showed that I have lesser readers this week unlike my personal blog wherein I can post anything “in season”. I don’t know if other similar blog encountered this but I’ve came to a conclusion that blogging is “seasonal”. A minimal percentage of readers will search for a techie stuff on holy week, searchables words are more on spiritual, religious and other related words which unfortunately this blog doesn’t have. Spiritual blog is “IN” for Holy Week.
My insights: Since this blog is a specialized blog that tackles mostly on mobile ebooks and blogging, I should also concentrate on keywords more.
You are in a quiet place, lets say in a beach. You saw a person gazing on his mobile phone screen without blinking, sometimes changing his facial expression. He didn’t make any movement on his cellphone, just a pressing a single press on his keypad. Reading his body language made you think, what’s with this person? What is he doing? Maybe looking to a picture? But why it doesn’t look like that? Why changing his facial expression? Reading his body language will made you think that he looked stupid or rather dumb.
Did you picture that scenario on your mind? Can you control yourself and not ask that person what is he up to? I have a confession to make, its not a “he” but a “she” and actually happened in real life. It was me who looked dumb. I was on vacation in a beach in the province, don’t want to swim when the sun is high. I was slowly swaying in a hammock tied in a tree while a local asked me in the tone of her voice that I’m stupid on my actions. I should have not explained to her what I was doing on my phone in the first place but I choose to answer it in few simple words.
She was amazed and my answer to her question made her asked more questions regarding mobile ebooks. I found out that she is also a bookworm. The look in her eyes changed and I did made her change her impression with me as well. At the back of mind, I thought, I maybe looked dumb while reading ebooks on my mobile but there’s no way that I’m dumber. lol
Would you rather called the dumb or the dumber on mobile ebook? No offense with the title, I found the title appropriate on the topic. Somehow, I would rather looked dumb on mobile ebook than a dumber. How about you?
Many times from my previous articles that I mentioned the extension name of the ebook file. When I say doc files, I’m referring to MS Word doc files. Although Quickword can read doc files to mobile phones, it has some limitations like you can’t read some doc files using QuickWord. This is the reason why some mobile ebook readers prefer to have them converted instead.
I’ve used Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 software to convert MS Word doc files. The download link is from cerience, a trial version. Again, its not a free software.
I assume that you have Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 installed on your computer.
Open the doc file using MS Word.
Click file, then print, assign repligo as your printer, then click ok.
Wait for a while then you can see the image below on your screen. Type the repligo filename and browse for the location. Click ok
Click ok to start the conversion process.
Its done, you have now your repligo ebook ready to be read on your repligo viewer.
For easier conversion, repligo button is also at the MS Word toolbar. Click repligo button, then convert document. Make sure that you assigned repligo as your printer.
I offered a long time co-moblogger requested me to convert her 10 doc ebook files, 1 in prc format and 1 pdf ebook file to repligo format last week. I admit, the files were in my email inbox for a week and haven’t checked the details until last night. Its not that I don’t want to grant her request, but I can’t find time to convert them sooner. I guess, she forgot that she’s asking for a favor and I have a busy life outside mobile ebooks and blogging. Anyway, she didn’t have any access to computer that’s why she asked meI offered her. She kept texting meleaving ym messages the whole week if I’m done converting the ebooks until I find time last night. Listed below are the ebooks I’ve converted.

Quite a long list and she’ll be reading them on the coming lenten season. Too bad that I didn’t prefer her book genre. The ebook in prc format is a mobipocket format that’s why she can’t open it using eBook 1.03 mobile application. She complained about it and asked me to checked it out. I advised her to use mobipocket reader instead on her N70.
I’m still thinking if I could offer here a free ebook conversion. Although, I don’t want to spoonfeed you on mobile ebook conversion, it will be on a case to case basis only. I will post the details depends on the comments here.

I seldom edit my entries and this is just one of them. I didn’t edit the above post except adding the strike code to correct the words I used. Some misunderstanding happened when “co-moblogger” got upset about this post. Now, I want to clear these things:
She said that I offered her to convert the files. Yes, I did offer her after she texted me what “application” should be used for repligo conversion. Let me clear that the word application is totally different to software. There’s no application to convert files to repligo using symbian phone. Since I knew that she didn’t have access to PC, I offered to convert them for her. But I told her that I was busy since my yaya was about to leave that month. She forgot that?
Regarding text, I cannot find the right word for ym message so I used the word text instead. I’ve already added that to the above entry. She texted me once or twice then the rest are ym messages.
I’m not “earning points” for this post, if it was there should be lots of comments here on this post. I don’t think this is a spectacular article. Comments are moderated, the system is totally different from gblogs. How can I approve comments claiming to be different persons with different emails but have the same IP address?
