My cousin who happened to be also my dentist asked me a favor yesterday. I’ve always gave her a helping hand on mobile phones especially if its a symbian phone.
Her new unit now is Nokia 6300, a S40 3G. She get rid of her nokia s60 after getting a virus through mms. I helped her removed the virus but she simply don’t like the idea of mobile viruses. Well, I told her the good news that virus is impossible to her new phone since it is a S40. I didn’t suggested her to buy this unit, but I think she fell in love with its slim feature. I do, my 6630 is too bulky compared to her unit. A FM radio and mp3 player are plus factor to her. I forgot to try the FM Radio. For her, mobile phone is also for entertainment.
All along she always heard me saying “maximize the capability of mobile phone by installing application suited to the user’s needs.” She bought a new 1GB MMC, so, she asked for audio files, themes, games, applications and some eBooks. I made her left her unit to me for 6 hours.
Yup! It took me 6 hours… ripping and converting her favorite 8 CDs to mp3 files, 40 kbit/s… gathering the themes from the net. Its amusing to know that the extension name for 6300 theme is nth. I’m quite new to this kind of format. I’ve converted some eBook java format, gave her some games and application. For the record, I didn’t use PC Suite.
I’ve been tagged by Pao about my ”seven”. I’ve made this article suited to my blog’s concept as much as possible, the glitch way. I’ve enjoyed making this entry but I have topic limitation here so I’ve decided to post another entry to my other blog, glitchline. I’ll make it more personal. The objective of tagging is to know the person further by making an entry regarding the 7 things that is related to number seven.
So, here are the rules:
Mention the person who tagged you and create a link back to them.
Pick other bloggers you like to know better.
Let them know you’ve tagged them by leaving a comment on their blog.
And don’t forget to give them the rules.

mjBook is a freeware software intended for java eBook conversion, another feature of this software is the digital photo eBook java conversion which I’ve tried now. The output digital album is also in jar or java format just like the ebook converted by mjBook. Again, java files are standalone files, meaning that you don’t need extra application to view it on your mobile device. Just transfer the file to your mobile phone and install it.
Input your book name, the phone screen resolution ( I use 176*208 for my Nokia 6630)
Add images, change the photo sequence by clicking up or down
Add the png format image for your splash screen and icon (optional)
Click start
So far, the problem I’ve encountered is the preview for phone screen resolution. The added image doesn’t show there. Also, I don’t think that a background color option is important because it doesn’t show on the converted file.
I’ve used different image resolution on my first try, I don’t like the result. Small resolution images resulted to white background color, that’s why I’ve mentioned above that the background color setting is not important. Different resolution images on your photo book will make other images too small or too big for your screen. Lets consider also the file size of the output photo album, it will end up too large.
Here’s the two-in-one solution for image resolution and large file size. I’ve used Alon Screencapture application to have the screenshots of the images on full screen. You can also use FExplorer or any mobile application that serves the same purpose. Screenshots will give you the exact resolution of your phone with a smaller file size. It is recommended especially if you want to add many images on your Photo eBook. After gathering the screenshots, transfer the files to your computer and you’re ready to convert your Photo eBook.
How to exit Photo eBook on 6630? Press 1 or 3 0r 7 or 9 — click option then exit.
I’m not giving away Pinay Scandal eBook or whatsoever, the topic is kinda off-topic to my blog but I’m doing this to participate to the campaign started by marhgil. It’s disgusting to know that bloggers who hit the top google ranks have these keywords: Pinay Scandal, Pinay Celebrity Scandal, Beautiful Pinays etc. They’re giving us false impression. Its sort of selling their blog at our expense. We can clean the worldwide web by joining the PINAY SCANDAL campaign by exchanging links, the best part is we could gain lots of traffic because of these keywords. Its like hitting two birds with one stone! Removing the Pinay bad image and earn lots of traffic. Who doesn’t want to join? How to do it? Simply make an entry with the keywords Pinay Scandal included in your title. Then, link back to other Pinay Scandal participants.
