Wazzup Doc? Convert DOC To Repligo
Many times from my previous articles that I mentioned the extension name of the ebook file. When I say doc files, I’m referring to MS Word doc files. Although Quickword can read doc files to mobile phones, it has some limitations like you can’t read some doc files using QuickWord. This is the reason why some mobile ebook readers prefer to have them converted instead.
I’ve used Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 software to convert MS Word doc files. The download link is from cerience, a trial version. Again, its not a free software.
- I assume that you have Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 installed on your computer.
- Open the doc file using MS Word.
- Click file, then print, assign repligo as your printer, then click ok.
- Wait for a while then you can see the image below on your screen. Type the repligo filename and browse for the location. Click ok
- Click ok to start the conversion process.
- Its done, you have now your repligo ebook ready to be read on your repligo viewer.

For easier conversion, repligo button is also at the MS Word toolbar. Click repligo button, then convert document. Make sure that you assigned repligo as your printer.

A Favor To Convert eBooks
I offered a long time co-moblogger requested me to convert her 10 doc ebook files, 1 in prc format and 1 pdf ebook file to repligo format last week. I admit, the files were in my email inbox for a week and haven’t checked the details until last night. Its not that I don’t want to grant her request, but I can’t find time to convert them sooner. I guess, she forgot that she’s asking for a favor and I have a busy life outside mobile ebooks and blogging. Anyway, she didn’t have any access to computer that’s why she asked me I offered her. She kept texting me leaving ym messages the whole week if I’m done converting the ebooks until I find time last night. Listed below are the ebooks I’ve converted.
- Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught
- Sec Op 2 Perfect by Judith McNaught
- All That Glitters by Linda Howard
- Angel Creek by Linda Howard
- Cover Of Night by Linda Howard
- Heartbreaker by Linda Howard
- Pants On Fire by Meg Cabot
- Perfect Princess, A Princess Diaries Book by Meg Cabot
- Queen Of Babble 02, In The Big City by Meg Cabot
- In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner
- Just Curious by Jude Deveraux
Quite a long list and she’ll be reading them on the coming lenten season. Too bad that I didn’t prefer her book genre. The ebook in prc format is a mobipocket format that’s why she can’t open it using eBook 1.03 mobile application. She complained about it and asked me to checked it out. I advised her to use mobipocket reader instead on her N70.
I’m still thinking if I could offer here a free ebook conversion. Although, I don’t want to spoonfeed you on mobile ebook conversion, it will be on a case to case basis only. I will post the details depends on the comments here.
Update: 4/22/08 2pm
I seldom edit my entries and this is just one of them. I didn’t edit the above post except adding the strike code to correct the words I used. Some misunderstanding happened when “co-moblogger” got upset about this post. Now, I want to clear these things:
- She said that I offered her to convert the files. Yes, I did offer her after she texted me what “application” should be used for repligo conversion. Let me clear that the word application is totally different to software. There’s no application to convert files to repligo using symbian phone. Since I knew that she didn’t have access to PC, I offered to convert them for her. But I told her that I was busy since my yaya was about to leave that month. She forgot that?
- Regarding text, I cannot find the right word for ym message so I used the word text instead. I’ve already added that to the above entry. She texted me once or twice then the rest are ym messages.
- I’m not “earning points” for this post, if it was there should be lots of comments here on this post. I don’t think this is a spectacular article. Comments are moderated, the system is totally different from gblogs. How can I approve comments claiming to be different persons with different emails but have the same IP address?
Stressing the correction I made above, I never mentioned any name here. I don’t intend to embarrass or humiliate people. If that’s my intention, I should have post the name and link it. I did commit mistake and I sincerely apologize for that. You could have ask me to edit this or delete this post if you are supposedly a friend but cursed me, condemned me, threatened me with this post is the so-called “respect” she was talking about. I don’t think I deserve all the bad words you’ve told me, hitting me below the belt is not normal for me to hear.
The insult involving my personal life is NONE of your business, you never knew anything, all are purely speculations. As far as I know, its only you and I knew about the files. I don’t have to know you, you earned it already with your reputation. Its sad that everything has to end this way. And felt sorry for myself for knowing you.
04/23/08:I’ll be adding more details if I have to. You want me to approve your comments so that people will know who you are? Dare me and I’ll do that plus link you and submit this post to all submission article that I know, so that many comments coming from REAL people will be here. I’m not screaming mad with the above post, for your information, you’ve just misinterpreted everything.

Convert LIT To Repligo
Why some people want to convert LIT files to repligo? Mostly, the new generation of bookworms don’t have or limited access to computers, some are always “on the go” and don’t want to carry many things like me… some don’t have a pocket PC or PDA that’s always been handy. These are just some of the numerous reasons why some would rather convert a LIT file to repligo. Anyway, I’ve mentioned here that LIT eBook format is 2nd to most common file to PDF.
How to convert LIT eBook to Repligo format? RGO or repligo format when used to a symbian 60 or S60 is one of the best format for me and there are already many mobile ebook readers prefer to use repligo reader.
Although its possible to copy the text when using Microsoft Reader and paste it to notepad, I don’t recommend it because it consume lots of time in editing. We’ll be needing a LIT converter software, any software will do or you can use ABC Amber LIT Converter to convert the file to any format you like.
We have to take consideration the format available for repligo conversion using Replig0 Windows such as doc (ms word), word perfect, excel, powerpoint, html, pdf among others. The candidate format for ABC Amber LIT therefore are doc (ms word), html and pdf format. If that’s the case, we can convert the LIT file to either doc (ms word), html or pdf format.
To make it clearer, here’s the guide:
- Using ABC Amber LIT Converter, convert your LIT file to doc (ms word) or html or pdf format, then save.
- Open the converted file to its new format. I assume that you have Repligo for Nokia Series 60 converter installed on your computer.
- DOC (MS Word) – use the special integrated repligo toolbar button to start the conversion from within the Office application.
- HTML – click the repligo button on your IE toolbar, then click “convert web page to repligo”
- PDF – choose file, then print, select repligo as your printer.
Note: You’ll be needing Repligo Windows or Repligo for Symbian 60 readers to check if you have successful conversion, they are absolutely FREEwares. On the contrary, Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 converter is NOT free.
LIT Conversion To Other Format
The new generation of bookworms’ primary problem is ebook conversion especially if they’re going to read the ebook not on their computer but on handheld device such as mobile phones. Chosen format varies on the electronic device they will be using and of course the mobile ebook application or ebook reader. Its impossible to read LIT eBooks on mobile phones as I’ve mentioned from my previous post here. LIT format eBooks can be read by Microsoft Reader.
How to convert LIT files? There are many free conversion software in the internet. It just so happen that I’ve been using ABC Amber LIT Converter v 2.05. Actually, I’ve used the older version.
