Wattpad For iPhone and iPod Touch

Wattpad On IpodGood news! Wattpad is already available for iPhone and iPod Touch.

To those who didn’t know, Wattpad is a mobile application for online mobile ebook reading. “Online” means you have to use an internet connection. The best part is… with iPhone and iPod Touch, there would be no connection fee compared to other phones because they are wifi capable.

This may be the best device for Wattpad or the other way around for online mobile eBook reading. It is already available for download from App Store for free.

They are currently running a contest, they’re giving away an iPod Touch to a lucky Wattpad fan. Not bad but I’m hoping that I will win so I can test and read more eBooks and experience wattpad on iPod.

The winner will be selected randomly on June 30, 2009 at 11:59pm and will be contacted shortly afterwards. Marked my calendar!

I wonder if I could also download ebooks and read it offline just like what I did on my N6630.  The only way toknow is to  own (or win) an iPod Touch. (my fingers are crossed… LOL)

Valentine’s Day Quote SMS Made Easy

Love quotes… Valentine’s Day quotes… romantic quotes… these are the kind of keywords searchable now. People young at heart in every walks of life are searching for SMS quotes. Its affordable and convenient way of greeting our loved ones on Valentine’s Day.

Okay, provided that you’ve seen an appropriate SMS for your honey, for your relatives and friends. What is the best way to send them easier? If I wasn’t mistaken, I’ve been using this mobile application for over a year on my S60 mobile phone. It made sending group SMS hassle-free, simple to use and not time consuming.

NaSMS is a mobile application that allows you to send group SMS easier. The nice thing with this application… while the group SMS is still sending (using NaSMS), you can still send and receive SMS on your built-in messaging without interruption. They’ve released the latest Symbian9 S60 3rd edition version 1.5 in sisx format last February 9, 2008. I’m still using the older version 1.3 since it is the version compatible on my 6630.

If you’re still not successful on finding the appropriate Valentine’s Day SMS for your loved ones, you might want to check this Love SMS compilation.

Back Up Your Contacts

Need to transfer your contacts from one mobile phone to another? Most of the time, I’ve encountered people saying that they’ve accidentally deleted an important contact or in some way they’ve lost their contacts. It made me wonder, they’re using a 3G phone or maybe a symbian 60 phone and yet they haven’t heard of this mobile application.

We cannot use mobile as a form of communication if we don’t have contacts on our phone book, right? Just like our mobile files, we also need to back them up. Contacts are more important than our files, copying them on our sim card wasn’t enough. Sim cards have limited memory.

This application wasn’t new to me, I’ve been using this mobile application for a long time and haven’t found any application better than this one. Backup Contacts v1.10 is a freeware and long time available in the market.

Import All – retrieve contacts from your backup file
Export All – back up your entire contacts to a file
Import Sel - retrieve a selected contact
Export Sel – back up a selected contact
Receiv File – receive file via bluetooth
Send File – send backup file via bluetoothHow to back up contacts:

  1. Open Bkup Contacts, click “export All”
  2. Choose “to Local File”, choose the drive or directory you want the file to be saved. I save them both on memory card and phone memory.
  3. Type the filename, click ok.
  4. If you open your file manager or FExplorer, you already have your backup named as “yourchosenbackupname.vcf”

Download: Backup Contacts v1.10

Free Call from Globe Telecoms

Globe Telecoms was having a technical problem with their system for a past few days until now in different locations. There were times that I can’t check my account balance and I have no outgoing SMS and call. I’ve experienced these for the past two-three days. Yesterday was the worst… I’ve sent a group message to my colleagues without using unlitxt service around 8:30am. I had to load again my prepaid sim for another batch of group SMS, I’ve received my load but I don’t have any successful outgoings call and text until this morning. Such a hassle because I have to insert to my phone a smart sim to make a group SMS. Whew!

Anyway, when I got home, I was about to complain using a landline. Would you believe, Globe hotline cannot be reached? I don’t know if that was the first time I can’t reach the hotline, all I know was, that was the first time they have serious system maintenance.

The good news to some Globe prepaid subscribers without load yesterday was they have their unlimited free call to any local network and roaming numbers. I shouldn’t have complain in the first place. As of the moment, they are still receiving tons of complains but the technical team are doing their best to solve the technical problems.

Globe UNLITXT40 And UNLITXT80 ARE BACK

I’m supposed to post this yesterday but I’m waiting for my site to become stable because of the migration, sorry for the delay. A mobile co-blogger informed me 2 days ago about the resume of UNLITXT and I immediately called the Globe hotline.

Good news: UNLITXT40 and UNLITXT80 are back. Due to insistent public demand, Globe Telecoms resumed the UNLITXT or unlimited SMS service started last January 9, 2008. UNLITXT40 is unlimited SMS for 48 hours or 2 days while UNLITXT80 is good for 5 days.

Bad news: The bad news is… Read more…
