Wazzup Doc? Convert DOC To Repligo
Many times from my previous articles that I mentioned the extension name of the ebook file. When I say doc files, I’m referring to MS Word doc files. Although Quickword can read doc files to mobile phones, it has some limitations like you can’t read some doc files using QuickWord. This is the reason why some mobile ebook readers prefer to have them converted instead.
I’ve used Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 software to convert MS Word doc files. The download link is from cerience, a trial version. Again, its not a free software.
- I assume that you have Repligo for Nokia Series 60 2.0 installed on your computer.
- Open the doc file using MS Word.
- Click file, then print, assign repligo as your printer, then click ok.
- Wait for a while then you can see the image below on your screen. Type the repligo filename and browse for the location. Click ok
- Click ok to start the conversion process.
- Its done, you have now your repligo ebook ready to be read on your repligo viewer.

For easier conversion, repligo button is also at the MS Word toolbar. Click repligo button, then convert document. Make sure that you assigned repligo as your printer.

Download eBooks using fget
Sometimes, downloading a file directly on our mobile phone sounds complicated to others. That depends on the mobile phone we are using, depends on the mobile’s operating system, depends on the memory are the common reasons.
There was a time that I need to download an ebook file but I’ve just formatted my mobile. I have limited access to computer at that time. Most ebooks comes in big file size, sometimes downloading them through your built-in browser (depends on the size) would cost you unreasonable price. If you’re unlucky, the connection will stop and made your download incomplete.
Exploring N6300
My cousin who happened to be also my dentist asked me a favor yesterday. I’ve always gave her a helping hand on mobile phones especially if its a symbian phone.
Her new unit now is Nokia 6300, a S40 3G. She get rid of her nokia s60 after getting a virus through mms. I helped her removed the virus but she simply don’t like the idea of mobile viruses. Well, I told her the good news that virus is impossible to her new phone since it is a S40. I didn’t suggested her to buy this unit, but I think she fell in love with its slim feature. I do, my 6630 is too bulky compared to her unit. A FM radio and mp3 player are plus factor to her. I forgot to try the FM Radio. For her, mobile phone is also for entertainment.
All along she always heard me saying “maximize the capability of mobile phone by installing application suited to the user’s needs.” She bought a new 1GB MMC, so, she asked for audio files, themes, games, applications and some eBooks. I made her left her unit to me for 6 hours.
Yup! It took me 6 hours… ripping and converting her favorite 8 CDs to mp3 files, 40 kbit/s… gathering the themes from the net. Its amusing to know that the extension name for 6300 theme is nth. I’m quite new to this kind of format. I’ve converted some eBook java format, gave her some games and application. For the record, I didn’t use PC Suite.
